PRODUCT INFORMATION

General Description

Lovely to see these back in stock! Haven't had polished watermelon fluorite from Namibia in many moons! Generally Speaking - This is a new Fluorite deposit being mined in Uis, Namibia which has a range of blue, green and purple colours with sometimes intrusive quartz exposures showing on the pieces. Toprock Namibia discovered this deposit some 19 years ago and only started to mine it actively in the recent few years. The deposit yields 30 - 60 cm thick plates which run about 15m deep. Some sections of the deposit yields gemmy green pieces with less diversity of colour. The multicolour material is normally referred to as Watermelon Fluorite due to the unique colour combinations. The green material is less expensive with variable transparency and translucency. Price is grade dependent. Items are as shown.
