Rough Lapidary Material, Sold per kg
We have a good but irregular supply of this Blue and Gold cutting Pietersite material. This material is VERY rare and is absolutely beautiful. We only sell hard fine solid material that has good silky chatoyancy in it.
This only comes from two places in the world. China(of which the supplies have run low) and one area in Namibia. Previously this material has always been sold at between R500 - R700 per kg ($70-$100 per kg) but we have been lucky enough to have a friend who has just started mining the same material as the original mine, just 3km away...which hardly anybody knows about. We sell this between $35 - $65 per kg.
We don't always keep stock of this material and tend to order as we have orders for it, or get a supply when it comes out of the mine.. The time-frame would be between 2 - 8 weeks generally(except mid summer when its impossible to mine in the Namib Desert heat). Because of the distance from us, we have to keep minimum order at 10kg. The mine produces material sporadically.
