BLUE CHALCEDONY
Beautiful translucent Natural Coloured Blue Agate from Malawi. We are offering rough material with good blue colour, semi translucent, with some Blue Lace patterns. This is a new mine and compares very favouravably with the old, previous "only source" of this lovely material in Namibia. This is almost identical to Blue Lace Agate, except that this generally has a deeper blue colour and is more gemmy, still with some lacey banding. This is ideal lapidary material. Most of this material is 4-10cm in width and 3-5 cm in thickness. There was a similar material coming frok Northern Namibia several years ago which was reaching prices of up to R500 per kg!! this is R100 per kg (less on tonnage)
We take most of the crystalline geodes out of this cutting rough, but you will find some crystalline plates and vug material in each batch, along with mostly solid blue material. This is excellent cameo, cutting/polishing/cabbing/jewellery rough.
We have around 5 tons of this rare material. Bulk orders from 50kg will get a price break on the R100 per kg and Tonnage rates are different again.
