General Description
Generally Speaking - Akansobe deposits of Madagascar yield exceptionally beautiful quartz which are remarkably similar to Brandberg Quartz from Namibia. The quartz from these deposits have variable clarity and amethyst colour intensity with darker Smokey sections on many of the pieces. Phantoms are fairly common as are specular or needle like lepidocrocite inclusions! Natural specimens are exceptionally rare with most of the material being polished. Polished points tend to be small to medium in size with larger polished pieces being uncommon. The material is graded based on the complexity of the inclusions and colour patterns, as well as the optic of the material. Price is grade dependant. Items are as shown.Product Data
