PRODUCT INFORMATION

General Description

A very funky pair of standing free forms! One polychrome jasper and one petrified wood! Very funky pair which are very different, but both very beautiful. Generally Speaking - Polychrome Jasper is a beautiful stone with a complex colour mix of greys, oranges, and sandy colours. Often called Desert or Picasso Jasper due to the stunning patterns and complex colours. It is believe to have been originally found as early as 2006 close to the Ocean Jasper deposits of Madagascar. The material is graded according to the complexity of patterns and colours. We only select from the top 20% of Polychrome material which is worked. Polychrome happens to be Nick May's favourite polished material.

Stunning Petrified Wood with amazing growth ring patterns. Madagascar polishing is top quality and the Petrified Wood material always has a lovely range of colours. Affordable fossil stock item for any retail space. The woods tend to be Triassic in age with most being Podocarpus sp. Generally - In geology, petrifaction or petrification is the process by which organic material becomes a fossil through the replacement of the original material and the filling of the original pore spaces with minerals. Petrified wood typifies this process, but all organisms, from bacteria to vertebrates, can become petrified.

Price is grade dependant. Items are as shown.
